Joan Bohn is an extraordinarily devoted artist with a sense of
style, presentation, and color few artists achieve. Her ongoing series:
The Four Seasons, Portals, and Journeys, are a reflection of her very
personal view of life. Her paintings are in private and corporate
collections worldwide. Joan lives in Houston and maintains a studio in
an industrial section of the city. She thrives on the energy of this
urban environment, and yet, longs for the peace and tranquility she
finds during summer visits to the mountains: only to become restless
once again for the city. For her it is about balance - in nature as in
life. Her philosophy can be summarized by the following: I live in a
city surrounded by tall buildings, commercial development, and all the
hustle and bustle that defines urban. Within this chaos I strive to
find balance, and a sense of place that is derived from the stimulation
of the city, redefined, and put to rest in my paintings.

in south Texas. Elizabeth s work has been included in exhibitions
throughout the TCU campus, in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and abroad.
She was recently awarded the Emerging Artist Award from the Mercedes
Benz Financial Services Center's show, "Experiencing Perspectives." Her

born, Peter Blackwell has been intrigued by Africa's environments and
exceptional diversity all his life. Raised on a remote farm in
Northern Kenya, the African bush was Peter's outdoor arena for
entertainment and learning. Formally educated in England, where he
received a degree in Graphic Design, Peter was keen to return to his
roots to pursue a career not related to the advertising world, but to
focus on the bush and continue on a lifetime interest, that of
Virtually self taught in the area of fine art, Peter built up a reputation as a watercolour artist specialising in birds, gaining acclaim for his ability to bring to life his feathered subjects, with incredible character interpretations, distinctive detail to bold and iridescent colours and the fine intricate work of precise feathering. Gradually Peter included animals and landscapes as well as oils and acrylics into his portfolio, all with the same great care and individuality as his bird pieces. Today he centres his attention on all the aspects of the African landscape. His originals range from pieces only a few inches in dimensions to several feet, in mixed mediums.
