The Art in Fiber - Hardcover Book
The 2010 fiber show consisted of twenty-four wonderful fiber artists from across the great State of Texas. The artists were selected for the exhibition by internationally acclaimed fiber artist, Liz Axford.
Each artist was required to create a piece of artwork built around a 12" x 12" x 1-1/2" canvas. The required theme was their personal interpretation of American Landscape. Included in this book is the collection of those fascinating interpretations.

Annie loves listening to Jimmy Buffet music while working in her studio. That music led to creating this impression of an island summer day. It is made from batik fabrics that were machine pieced and quilted, then cut and arranged. Hand-painted cheesecloth is used in the background. Glass beads and fibers are the embellishments.
